Is python a good language to learn for ethical hacking?

I've heard two things about python: 1. It is the greatest language ever, and will soon wipe all others off the face of the earth. and 2. It is only for complete noobs. Anyway, I am wanting to get into programming, and specifically, white hat hacking as a change of life career. I have been studying python for about six months, and am on my fifth book. Is python good for this? Thanks

To get into programming you should choose C++. However, Python is mostly used in Hacking. Besides, you have to learn basic HTML and CSS.

Thanks gentlemen, ans especial thanks to Alphin K. Sajan. Those links led me to Violent Python, which looks great for what I am trying to do.

The two things you heard or both sort of true. Python is greatly growing in popularity, but it is also a common language for beginners (but can be used for lots of other things). Python is a great language for ethical hacking. You should also learn C/C++ though. But “finish” learning python first (though I feel you can never fully finish learning a programming language).

Yes python is good for ethical hacking because- | It has a large community and there must be people who make modules for ethical hacking | It is simple and easy to debug and write and it is efficent | You can EVEN USE BUILTIN MODULES for this if you dont want to flood your PC with modules
