Marc Agbeti there is a short list presented by Googling but most are going to start by saying python and r as Elmedin Cancar did. I'm seeing more Julia and Scala programming as of late.

R is mainly used for static calculations and visualization. Python is a general purpose scripting language and is popular because it's easy to learn and it is features powerful libraries(numpy, pandas, matplotlib). Matlab (or free alternatives: Octave, Scilab) is manly used by mathematicians and engineers for numeric computation and visualization.
