Modifying an app/sololearn is legal or illigal?

Question

Sololearn Have Have Very Few Code Snippets So I Was Trying To Modify Sololearn So That It Will Contain More Code Snippets Which Will Help Me To Code Faster.
But Haven't Modified Yet 😞.
When I Ask About Modifying Sololearn To A Solo User On Sololearn then he replied that it is illigal and you will be ban.
I am just asking

Having such statement while you can comfortably judge the devs by saying "Sololearn Developers Did or didn't know Anything About Other Applications" is kind of ironic, or even possibly be considered disrespectful.

We all have pleanty of room for code. The intullectual property of SoloLearn is not yours so you can't use it. It's that simple.

Plus, wrong place for this. If you really think you can "help" SoloLearn, then how about you talk to the devs and not some randoms in q&a?

Two types of Softwares/Apps in the world (as fas I know)
1. Open Source
2. Licensed, Copyrighted, and Company/Self owned or patented

Its okay to Modify codes of Open sourced softwares and send a pull request, The owner will decide wether to add the changes in source code or not

It is A hienous crime to modify / harm/ republish / patch / fix
a non Open Sourced software owned by any entity be it individual or a company

And if found guilty, Will attract plenty of Court cases + Fines + Fees and possible punishment in the eyes of law and Patent registrars

That's the thing, we don't matter in this situation. That's like me, walking into YOUR house, stealing things, and then checking with your neighbor to make sure it's okay.

The neighbor has nothing to do with your house and it's clearly messed up taking what is not yours or you did not make. Now, if you ask the owner to borrow something........

there are Sololearn hacks on the Internet, but they only remove ads, nothing else, but it is impossible to view a particle of the Sololearn code through a regular file manager, it is possible only with root rights and through a special application

And it sadly doesnt matter what SL devs know about other apps, cause this is THEIR APP. They can run it however they like.

For instance, if they, for whatever reason, decided that mustachioed fellas weren't allowed on the app anymore, then you'd either have to shave or leave (not like they'd actually check), but it's their service and they can serve who they want. We are all capable to get w/ others and make our own app just like them if we so choose. But most like to use others services and then wonder why they barley have/don't have any control... wonder why?

If I understand you clearly, you feel that the code suggestions provided by Sololearn web playground is not good enough. You wish it was better and even though at the moment you don't have an idea of how to improve it.

My suggestion is that you should download a text editor of your choice on your computer. You can code in your favorite text editor and copy the codes to playground when you are done. That is what I have been doing. Trust me, you are not the only one that is not satisfied with the code playground.

To answer your original question: I am not a legal practitioner so I am not officially giving you legal advice. But in my understanding, Sololearn is a proprietary app. You have no right to modify or distribute the app without their permission. By extension, the IP cannot be used for another purpose without Sololearn's permission.
