How do I check codes on validator.w3.org?

Question

I was given a project by my lecturer in school, and some of the requirement of it is to check the code I've written on w3 validator which I don't know how to, I've search for content on Google but all seems not so familiar... I'll be very grateful if anyone can be of help to me on this

not needed...
with search result choose the validator wich seems to best fit your requirement, and copy/paste or upload your code to check it, according to the way of doing it requires ;)
