How to increase creativity?

I am having a tough time building things by myself without tutorials. I can understand code, but don't have the creativi. Any advice please?

Sebi Poiana Creativity doesn't come from neither tutorials nor any other resources.Some of the following which you can try

1) Understand the concepts
2) Understand the logic in code start analysing try new things in your code.
3) Execute your ideas in your code that's the best way it will show you hidden creative person.
4) Learning is an endless process so keep learning keep coding.

I usually recommend supporting open source projects. The job of an engineer is to solve problems which is usually why people get "coder block". If you don't have a problem to solve or a problem domain to work on, it's tough to try and use what you know to make things. Working on bugs/issues will give you a problem to solve. Another bonus is working with existing code bases and other engineers, which is something you will do almost exclusively as a junior software engineer.
