[About SL] What are the advantages of "streak" here in SoloLearn besides XPs? Is there any other advantages of streak?
Because I have seen many Sololearners who is only here for keeping their streak alive including myself.

Maybe because when you have a good streak, for example, 14 or 15 days or more than 100 to 1000 like you said, your brain doesn't want you to lose the streak because you have made it through after a lot of hard work by presenting every day in sololearn.
After losing the streak,
You wouldn't want to make the whole streak again for example me.

Yes, it happened to me too. You would care about this until you lose it.
After losing the 60 days of a streak, now I really don't care about this(now mainly active on the web version).
This is a good strategy played by sololearn to keep their community alive :)

My next goal is for 1000, not for XP, but just for vanity.

There is a badge for 15 days streak. It is the BTS badge. I don’t know if SL is going to create a badge for certified streak addict.

I find the streak to be a great motivator to keep making the effort.
Sometimes, I have been isolated from any internet & found myself travelling to a hot spot in order to maintain the STREAK.
Personal vanity, addiction, marketing ploy?
Whatever it is, it works for me - too!

There are other rewards for streaks above 15.
Some of them are quite suprising!

Rik Wittkopp I used to do the same.
Plus this Streak system is rewarding too accordingly. The longer your streak is the more XPs you get.
Currently, my goal is to reach 365 streaks and this is the reason why I am too active now because when I open the app to maintain my streak I tend to check and answer some few Q&A, check few hot today codes which leads me to an idea and i spent my times on them eventually I spent a lot of times here(hours).
You are right with personal vanity, addiction, and marketing ploy.

You get a badge if you have 15 days streak. And I believe that's it.

Aleksei Radchenkov Yes, but there are accounts with more than 1000

The future is now thanks to science[In a break] Very true! This feature helped SoloLearn to be an active community.
And this is the reason why I'm still opening the app everyday, an addictive feature indeed.

Earthling Yes good idea.
But atleast a record of the highest streak achieved would be appreciated.
Currently, if you broke your streak no one knows how long your last highest streak was.

It's about habit. Bare minimum, if you open the app every day JUST for the streak, you'll keep reinforcing the habit of OPENING the app. That's step 1. From there, the ritual builds into a rhythm. Soon you're logging in every day AND sticking around for a minute to check things out. You have a streak going, you're exploring content at your pace.
It's a learning tool that helps encourage and motivate. Mechanically it gives XP, as OP said, and offers a sort of high score. But mechanics are only HALF of UI/UX design: the other half of the design process includes accounting for user psychology and behavior. What does the user want? Why are they here? What are they seeing and where do I want the focus?
The best UI/UX is mutually beneficial as well. Notice: for the user, they have a psychological and mechanical asset to drive a consistent desire to use the service. For the service provider, they get higher traffic and therefore greater chances of making a sale/ad commission! Win-win-win!
