MySQL running in the background

Question

From my understanding, when you install MySQL on windows for example - it never stops running at the background.

I understand that need for it to be able to run at the background, but I want to use it only when the app is open. Otherwise it'll just take RAM without me even needing it.

How can I make sure that when I download MySQL it'll only run when the up is open, and won't run in the background?

Go in Services, find MySQL service and in setting change automatic to manual.

Now you can start service manually whenever you want.
