@Yhal I disagree. when it comes to university, exams ask specific questions that require understanding of certain skills. In programming you are required to write an entire algorithm with a pencil on paper that has to work if ran through a compiler or have proper logic to the task. That being said, every schools different. I'd agree for highschool though, can memorize your way through that.

Because we don't memorize, we just know how to do it. Exam only asks the portion that you have to memorize so good students know how to answer the questions but don't know how to solve problems in real life. Best programmers never care about results but they care more on coding and solving problems than marks in exam.
