Software Development Tool

Question

hi, i'm planning on making software for my company. I don't know which one is the best or good tool to use, currently have delphi7 as my software development tool but i will use other tool if it's better.

I did ask google and sololearn discuss page, which best tool to use for software development but i still have no idea. so maybe this community will help me and recommend me which tool to use :(

My plan is to make desktop app that can share the data to every computer that using this app (my current solution is by using cloud sharing for the data) and maybe also integrated with mobile app (my current solution is by making the app using android studio)

So the problem that i can't solve yet is which the better or best tool to use?

And if you have better idea about my plan, please write it down too. Thank you so much for your time reading this question and the answer ! Any responds like reffering me to other discussion is fine and thank you !

The "best" tool is a tricky concept, firstly you have to have a solid understanding of what you intend to build and how you intend to build it, from there you can figure out the best platform and language to use for it, and that in turn will tell you which tools will be best. In my experience though the tools you know are usually the easiest to use and initially that is often the best tool initially while you figure out a better way of working.
