How do people have 1,000+ exp in the courses?
Hello everyone, I completed the HTML course earlier today (April 5th, 2017) and, afterwards, I checked the leaderboards (Because I'm an overachiever and want to be #1) and I saw that Nikolay has a little more than 6000 points in html while I only have, about, 300. I answered everything correctly in html, I made sure of that, but he still has more points. How is that possible!? Does doing challenges give points? What about writing applications on the site? Did he pay SoloLearn off? How does he have 6000 exp?

When you win a challenge the poin goes to language that you use. Sir @Nicolay won 20000 challenge from many language. imagine how much poin did he had. none of us is even close to his achievement.
while me, i just won 50+ challenge in javascript, so i have more poin in my Javascript language but not the other language.

You've got to play lots of challenges with that weapon (HTML), post web codes and receive upvotes on them, win badges with that weapon (you can win a badge multiple times with different weapons), etc.
I agree with @Abner Schmidt, though, you should care more about real knowledge than exp points, but I get that SoloLearn is a game after all and you might want to compete and be #1 at everything, just don't let that make you stop learning for real.

Exp points won't do you any good besides inflating your ego. Knowledge, on the other hand... Go study. Humbly.
