Yes, you can save others code as an example. You might adjust some logic/formatting/types to use the cool trick in your future projects.

It is fairly unlikely that anyone has created something so rare or innovative that it could be considered for intellectual property protection, but let's not get in the habit of stealing others work (save that for stackexchange🤭).
