It depends if you want to be a front end or back end web developer. You can become a front end web dev in a few months, and it could take you a year or more to become a back end web dev. It also depends on how much time you invest learning and practicing 😊 You can speed up the process in a coding bootcamp.

A web developer? Probably ~3-4 months. A good web developer? Your entire life starting now.

It depends on how much you're trying to learn and how much time you're able to dedicate to learning it. For example, I'm basically doing self study online for front end web development. In order to do that I'll need to learn atleast 5 languages (html, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) My original goal was yo finish everything by the end of this month. (I've been doing self study for about a year almost) But given the fact that I have a full time job, kids, other responsibilities, I'm not able to dedicate all of my time to studying at the moment. So I definitely won't be able to finish it this month. So I changed my goal to the end of this year. I'm in no way upset about it. Learning takes time and its definitely worth it! I suggest planning out a schedule for you to study every day, even if its just an hour a day. Try to determine how long it'll take you to learn one language. Then when you reach that goal plan out learning another goal. There isn't really a time frame, you just have to find out what works for you!

Basically it boils down to determination. Some take years and years to become a developer while I accomplished it in less than a year. Make up your mind, stay focused and work hard. Simple.
