How can Python betray me like that? It seemed easy.. Cant win a challenge. I 'm adding 10 times effort.

You have to study the Math.
Unfortunately, most questions in Python (and Java, Javascript, C++, etc) are based only on the math, you can see the wrong answers after every challenge... learn from it.

don't feel bad, I suck at python challenges, yet I've probably coded better things than a lot of the people I've lost to

Don't worry man! python seems to be easy..but you know what the truth is...most of the time it's difficult than java!

Some of Python challenges clearly have wrong answers. They should have been downvoted before letting them in.
Moreover, there are some which are impossible to calculate step-by-step in a given time - either you notice the pattern and know the answer right away or you lose.

@Leon, that code still works but of course gives a different result - if the correct answer was also unchanged, that's too bad :(
If each question was marked with an id or something, it would be easier to report it. Just a thought...

Try to read between the code lines and practice makes perfect. Just keep trying and you will get it.

#Ahri Fox, I have also coded alot of programs, including GUIs with PyQt4. But here, python seems hard but I have learnt alot of things and I am not gonna give it up man.
