Font Awesome vs Bootstrap for icons?

When I checked other projects here they mostly use Font Awesone for their icon.
Is there any reason?

looking on their sites, Bootstrap has 1600 icons while Font Awesome has 19000. Pretty good reason to use them!

but you don't have to only use one source for your icons, go with the one you like!
