Modern programming is built around code reuse. The programming language features and API's are written by others, libraries are written by others, and modern tools allow you to easily integrate this code into your own work. However, there are specific rules and laws that govern intellectual property and ownership of software. If you use other people's work, always consider the particular license conditions which apply. Copying code that you found "out there" in the wild, and presenting it as your own creation without even citing the source, is considered plagiarism, and sometimes even criminal offense. A little more on this, that is about Sololearn but can also be applied elsewhere: https://code.sololearn.com/WjKS36hKsCoE/?ref=app

Do you mean good project to get a job? It is always better to do project from stretch, in that way you will learn a lot of new things and get experience. Project should be something what can't be easy to copy/paste. Something what does not have tutorial. This projects prove that you know what you are doing. But it all depend of company, so sometimes smaller project can also be great. Just try to do it yourself, not to copy/paste. But mostly now to get first job you need to already have experience working on some company so I also suggest to try to get some internship. So you will have what to talk on interview and increase your chance.
