How do I find a developer-entrepreneur?

You know those stories about projects born in a garage, with nothing but force of will? Just
how? I’ve never found a developer who wanted to work to build something ours, only a lot of salary-man. My skills are into advertising, but I have nothing to advertise. I would totally do it for free too, of course, cause I trust projects. I have a little game to build rn. Where can I find a collaborator? Are there some groups for this kind of request? I’m based in Milan but I can work remotely. Thx

Yes, those types of stories usually start between two or more friends. Therefore, you have to make some friends or acquaintances to get to know them and build trust. No one wants to risk partnering with someone they know little about; that is why money is often involved. You can sell yourself by stating that you have a project in mind and are looking for a partner. You can do this on many social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Just ask, and someone may be interested. You can also try some startup websites such as https://www.starthawk.io/. However, this information is off the top of my head, try searching the web for other tips. if your skills are in advertising, you are not relevant to those garage projects. What they need at that stage is venture capital, not publicity. Likewise, if you "have a little game", and your only contribution is advertising, you have nothing. Learn to code, or contribute funding.

Orin Cook I was being synthetic but basically I can build a strategic structure, create the ux design, get the beta tester to collect datas, write down a good business plan and finally, also bring it to a couple of ventures friend of mine. But that’s the last step; I always project things that can start working without any big investment

Saas is a conviniant model for tech solopreneurs, but the hardship you have to go through while bootstrapping your business is unavoidable. Have a look at some of this success stories, https://youtube.com/@SaaStock Maybe just get into your own niche, why not go for a Smma instead?

Chris Coder Yeah you’re right, I have friends in the wrong sectors ahah I can’t find real-life communities, developers meeting each other or working together. I was wondering if they’re just solitary people or I’m not searching good enough. Thank you for the suggestions tho! I’ll check those sites

Isn’t it too early if I don’t have the project done? Anyway I’m positive about niches engagement, for another project I made a strategy test to see how quickly I could grow for free and the datas were good :)
