Error Django mysql

Question

I am beginner in Django, what happens is When executing py manager.py runserver, i get this error, why is this error, i am running they application in a virtual environment.

raise improperlyconfigured( django.core.exceptions.improperlyconfigured: mysqlclient 1.4.3 or newer is required; you have 1.0.3.

Update.
I run the command pip show PyMySQL: Name: PyMySQL
Version: 1.0.3
-----------------------
I run the command pip show mysqlclient: Name: mysqlclient
Version: 2.1.1, I used the commands to update the packages, but it's still on the same version and it's still giving the same error as I wrote above

pip install --upgrade mysqlclient

try this command and rerun
it'll upgrade the mysqlclient
