Info on the recent hearts updates?

Question

Noticed how max hearts have increased from 3 to 5, couldn't find anything about this online anywhere.

Do you think this is a permanent update?

Edit: the countdown seems to refill one heart at a time only, ie the count went from 0(no hearts) to 1(5 being the max).

Update: Emailed [e-mail] asking information at 2:50 am IST on the 2nd of December, 2023

Until there are any changes done by dev team in hearts, you can consider this as *permanent.* I believe they are experimenting right now with hearts.

Here, the key word is *until any changes done further.*

Mohammed shoaib , learning through heart system is for the users who do not have paid subscription.

You can refill hearts one at a time I believe using your earned bits. In old version it was like you have to buy it all at once.

You can get clear response from devs. Send your questions/concerns at -> [e-mail], I am sure you will get your answer 🙂 and no need to get lost, instead focus yourself in learning.

What I could find is the streak protection that I was emailed about by sololearn. Nothing about hearts there too though

Haven't tried letting the hearts refill themselves. Will try and edit this reply in 5ish hours with an update!

edit 1: lost 1 heart out of 5, only for it to be reset instantly somehow

edit 2: got 0 hearts, 5 minutes for refil

edit 3: Damn. the count down's only refilling one heart?

Yes 5 hearts ❤️ is there happy to see 5 hearts we can learn more things at a time but here one thing confusing before lost 3 after 5 hours we get 3 at a time today I lost all hearts 4 hours before now I got 2 hearts

I had 0 lives left, after the count down for refill, only one heart was refilled.

To bad they didnt look further. If they did they would have seen a negative effect.

Obviously i talk about DuoLingo which uses this heart system. I as many others lost interrest in the app as we couldnt continue without having to pay.

Though Duo lets you repractise your failures in order to earn hearts so after 5 minutes you can continue. But here I got to wait 5 hours so I close the app and forget about it untill I get a notification about my streak tomorrow night.

Also I think 5 hearts is very low for noobs like myself who lose them very quick after forgeting indentions in Py or making typos in HTML lines.

On the other hand I do understand they need to make money to keep the servers up and the courses new.

Btw english isnt my native language so this propably contains some errors

Hearts now refill one at a time, ie. the count down only refills one heart at a time.

Lost all hearts and waited for them to fill up twice now.
