Hi I answered a question that said Cern created the internet but at uni, I was told it was created by Darper any comments

Afaik DARPA created ARPANET, which can be said to be like a backbone to todays internet, the base architecture(internet protocols) was passed on to create CERN's world wide web(using http).

I see it as the internet being just a connection between computers, where as www is the global inter connected network of computers being able to access information in the way we do today.
