Rain The number inside the app is for all the notifications which you can't control. Push notifications are for outside the app and you can turn them off.

Alexandr Meskin , I have also reported it months ago. My workaround in the Android app is to close and reopen the app. Then switch areas (such as from Profile to Create) to force a refresh. By the way, you can supposedly reduce the number of notifications you get by turning off some notification categories in Settings, though the behavior there seems a little buggy too. For example I still get "so-and-so liked your something" notifications after turning them off. (I prefer to see only replies.) Maybe you'll have better luck. [Edit:] Mafdi told me those choices don't affect the in-app notifications, only the external push notifications (a tiny window that pops up on your phone when you're not using Sololearn).

Rain You can turn most of them off, just leave the most important ones for you. For me I turn on challenges notifications, to get notified even if I don't use the app. This way I don't let challenges expire. You can turn on some others like mentions.

I reported it in November 2021, and got the following response: Thank you for clarifying the issue -- we appreciate it! Our development team is aware of the problem and working hard to fix it in an upcoming release.

Rain in the settings you can turn off the push notifications, they are just the notifications you get outside the app.

Mafdi , I mean say more about push notifications versus the number that appears in the app.
