Code Coach got discontinued …
Hello, Thanks for reaching out to us! At Sololearn we always work hard to improve our product, by developing new and better features for your code learning experience. Time to time, some features that are not being used much need to be deprecated so we can support the new ones. Unfortunately, the Code Coach feature was discontinued. We are sorry for the caused inconvenience and grateful for your understanding! Have a great day and enjoy Sololearning! Best, CS Name Sololearn Inc.

Hi!
I want to clarify a little. After checking with the team, this isn't exactly true. I'm so sorry for the confusion about the reason for their removal.
For Code Coaches, those are deprecated on iOS as we introduce Bug Hunter. As they are an older feature, they need some adjustments to be able to coexist with the newer features.
I want you (all of you) to know that we greatly appreciate all the feedback and community support the Code Coaches have been receiving. Thank you for taking the time to send in your thoughts and concerns.
We have been giving this feedback priority attention and we hope to reinstate the Code Coaches in the future as we clean up the surrounding code.

That is disheartening news. Code Coach is a necessary next step that helps students actually use what they studied. It turns "book knowledge" into practical experience.
I am still working through the Code Coach tasks and was very pleased that they added a bunch of new tasks since it was first introduced. Also I enjoy revisiting old ones and experimenting as I learn new techniques.
I hope Sololearn figures out their true vision eventually.

Jan Zalewski ,
I saw that too, and I complained (sent Feedback).
Hopefully, if enough people join in, they will restore it to the iOS app and not go through with plans to remove it elsewhere (like my Android app).
Please let them know what you think by sending Feedback from the main menu or emailing info@sololearn.com .

Bad idea. Not used much? I use it. I'm still working through them, and every day I read questions in the Q&A Discussions area from other people who use it.
It's one of the best features of Sololearn.
The push to remove it had to come from someone new to Sololearn who is changing stuff just to look busy. Instead of destroying something people use, what about fixing some of the long-standing known bugs?

For all the people who like coding but dont need it in job or daylie life this is a way to stay in touch with coding. And learn new stuff.
This app is just complete a course and leave now for me…
Bughunter isnt a substitude for that at all…

Bunny Thanks for clarifying 👍

I'm not happy about this either. There are plenty of other issues that SL should be working to fix instead of removing features such as Code Coach. It's a bad move IMO.
I'm finally going to complete Poker Hand so that I will have finished all 72 challenges 👍

Do you have access to the case you solved from your profile under solution?
If not, I'm going to backup the questions and my code.

Wong Hei Ming ,
So they've blocked our access to our own property, the code we wrote. That's not friendly.

Rain yeah. Now i'm regreting not copying (save as) my code coach solution code to my code bits.

Bunny
Thanks for your reply.
I solved the code coach, but didn't copy my solutions to code bits since our codes are saved "inside" the quizzes. We were able to view \ edit the code anytime.
And now they list as solved under "my profile" but cannot access without subscription.

Dang it.
Now that whatever new person at Sololearn learned people like the Code Coaches, instead of removing them from the Android app, they made half of them Pro-only. WTH? Does that person see the users as the enemy or something?

Rain
I made a quick count.
Not half of them, it is more than half.
And I cannot retrieve my solutions......

Can you name one or two code coach you haven't solve yet?
Maybe we can copy the link and make it as a webpage so people can jump to the quiz, just like the older courses get retired before completely hidden.

Try can you open it on iOS.

Wong Hei Ming ,
I don't know if this will help, but here's an observation.
I'm using the Android app. It looks like all my Code Coaches have nearly the same URL, no matter if I've solved them or not, which means the URL alone is insufficient to recall someone's (my) code. That must be delivered dynamically after you (I) choose the language from a working interface.
For example here are numbers 6 (which I solved in Python), and 99 (which I haven't solved.
Fruit Bowl (easy)

Word Rank (hard)

Hi! I’m looking into this (not being able to retrieve your solutions, etc). You should be able to access any code bits you’ve made (and not deleted) so this sounds like there’s something wrong Wong Hei Ming Rain
If any of you happen to have more details or screencaps, please send them into info@sololearn.com!

Thank you for the further explanation Wong Hei Ming ! I’ve escalated the issues/concerns to the appropriate team, I’ll add this in.
