Do levels have a purpose?

So, when you level up, does it actually change anything or is it just for a dopamine fix?

It doesn't change anything, it shows the effort you made on the plateform and yup it for Dopamine Getting higher level builds confident and also can be used for showoff

"Does it actually change anything or is it just for a dopamine fix?" Yes it does change something, the level number itself which is displayed on profile page. And yes, you can say it has something to do with sense of confidence, satisfaction, to have something accomplished or won (in challenges). Back when I started, there were just a few people who had gotten to level 16. And there was sort of competition for who gets to level 16 earlier, and/or faster. But now, with many a level 16 people around, it doesn't feel that much of a thing as it used to be. One thing some people commonly misunderstood was, level in SoloLearn does not represent one's actual skill level. It's easy for some to think someone who just joined SoloLearn was a true beginner while it may not be true, because they could, have learned somewhere else :)
