Code challenge ratings

I just completed the introduction to c++ recently, so I wanted to start working through the easy coding challenges, but I'm already stuck on my third one, Halloween Candy. I'm not entirely sure what to do here, I've read the challenge several times over and tried several solutions. I even googled, but I am not a fan of completing a challenge with knowledge like ciel function because that isn't the intended one. Or at least, it is not a function I would have known about without looking at outside sources for help. So I'm wondering if "easy" might only be relative to if you fully completed both c++ courses? As it certainly doesn't feel as straightforward as the other two I did.

I don't know if the introduction course talks about any means to get a decimal to a whole number, does it? If it doesn't, then congratulate yourself for the initiative that you took to look up such things! That's an important step, for beginners through to experts - we all have to search, discover and think about different ways to solve a problem. If you want/need further help, feel free to share your code as per this guide: https://sololearn.com/compiler-playground/Wek0V1MyIR2r/?ref=app

Quoting myself from another thread: "Unlike the code projects in the course, the code coach tasks are not associated with a particular course. The code coach has been here for longer than the current versions of courses, which is probably one of the reasons why they are not synchronized. [...] Like in real-life coding, one often gets thrown in at the deep end and has to face issues one has never even thought of. "
