C++ is widely used to create compilers, OS, firmware, games, kernel like Linux Kernel... Java for Android apps, large scale desktop and web applications like Twitter...

Hi Karan! I think both are core programming languages, widely used, and it really depends on what you are trying to use them for. For instance, Java is good for Big Data programs and Android apps. On the other hand, C++ is vastly used in the gaming industry.

Java is widely used for large scale applications due to being easier to maintain huge amounts of code and C++ is better for super computers/fast code such as the way it was designed.

C Language can do exactly what C++ can do related to OS development and so on, but C++ is an extension of C and so is more powerful than C due to having more functionality, this does not mean C doesn't have its strengths though.
