Why don't we create websites?

We are learning all of these new concepts, but would it not be of more use learning to apply them in a website so that we can practise what is important?

Not all projects are meant to be tested or launched on the web. It actually depends on the programming language and end result of what you are learning

Setting up the correct enviroment to host websites at a low cost involves more than just knowing html/css. It has to be secured for a real live production enviroment with software that is sometimes less than "beginner friendly". But it's definelty worth applying the knowledge you gain here to your own projects to cement your own learning.
