Can i learn code using this app or do i need some type of degree or any pre requisite?

you can learn to code here, but it always helps to use other resources to develop a deeper understanding to each topic. this course is pretty fast pace...just keep after it

sololearn is a great way to start with the basics and get your feet wet, but the certificates do not mean anything to employers
