Question

Do you think it would be primarily productive or troubling? In what manner?

I feel it can be beneficial in terms of tutoring and personal conversation, obviously.

However, one can also see the unintended, less productive ways it can be used as well.

Not including the technical drawbacks that will be introduced.

What do you think?

well, the concept of messaging system is good as long it is public so every body can learn for the tutorial

Also, forgive me, as I'm sure this topic has been brought up several times before I began interacting with the community. I'm just one to directly approach things first hand on certain concepts. 🐺

@jay I couldn't have said it better. I think you have pretty much expressed what most people would as far as their thoughts on the encumbrance of those that take advantage of a messaging system, haha. It touches the premises of, "This is why we can't have good things." haha. Well said.

@Nikolay Nachev Agreed. In fact, I actually have thought of that very same concept before. It would certainly help narrow down the areas of focus when I'm searching for answers and opinions with the opportunity to filter through categories of information and interests. Something that would be salubrious to us all, I'd say. Excellent point.

I don't think that a messaging system fits the concept of the app., the thing that is needed for me is a better organized Q&A with categories for different subjects, possibly to reply to a comment... in other words a normal forum.

i believe it will be more troubling than productive. the idea does have merits but once you add people into the mix it all goes to the dogs. We have enough problems with spammers already. Imagine a spammer with the ability to private message.. oh the humanity!

I think they should, but block ANY TYPES OF SWEARING, EVEN IF THEY BUT A SPACE IN IT, PLACE ANY PUNCTUATION IN IT, OR ABBREVIATE IT!!! Like Lifeboat does in Minecraft.
