I need to know how long it take me to learn fundamentals...

Just the fundamentals could take as little as a week. To really master it could take years of professional work.

depends u want basics or advance knowledge.
basics - "hello world" 1-3days
advance- servlets , swings ....1-3 months
full expert 1-3 yr
