Why is C++ the good choice when starting learning programming?

Question

- C++ is a programming language in between C (a low level language) and Java (a high level language). It will therefore help you understand more easily Java, C# and other Object Oriented Programming.

- When understand C++ you already know more than 90% of Java concept's.

- Understanding pointers and references in C++ will give clearer understanding of reference only programming language like Java, Python...

- C++(C) is the base of many programming languages like Java, C#, python...

C++ is a generic programming language that supports OOP. its not 90% of Java, because now Java is more robust and it will be very difficult to compare the two. but I am sure its similarity index would be more than 75%

I agree with learning Object Oriented Programming easier, and I also agree with being able to learn languages like Java easier. Nice post.
