Hello, I'm new to coding and have begin to learn css and html. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help retain all this information? Is it easier to learn any particular language first?

Practice makes perfect. Always try to do things that you learned. Are you with doubt? Test it, you'll learn best through practice and studying

I'd say html and css have a lot of things you need to remember, but I'd advice you don't worry about trying to remember all the tags, elements and attributes for now. focus on learning the flow of the language with the tutorials you are working on. The courses on sololearn don't have practical projects which you can work on. It just teaches you the syntax of the language, you can check out some playlist on youtube that show you how to build a website from scratch. Another thing you can do is to download a cheatsheet for html and css and refere to the tags each time you need to use them. The more you do so, you'll remember them easily. Before you know it, you'd have mastered over 80% of the syntax.
Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the responses, I have been really intimidated by the number of tags. I just installed the app as a refresher as I take the courses on codecadamy. I'm experimenting with code as I learn but I am having trouble implementing it. Are there any reference books you can buy that you would reccomend?
