Any body knows what are the requirements of being a python desktop developer and how I can learn image processing in python ?
I have tried tkinter and PyQt but needs a good library to work in!

@xclifier. thanks a lot.. actually python used in Bittorrent, Dropbox and cinema 4d which made me thinking what are the best libraries of making these programs beside tkinter and PyQt

There is a good turorial for deep learning by Jermey Howard on YouTube. He takes you through deep learning and image recognition in a series of videos. If you dont know much about machine learning in general i would start there to get an idea of how some of the algorithms and theory works, its not essential to start but a good machine learning book or course will also take you through the math and statistics that are vital for higher end analysis. Collective Intelligence is a good book for basic machine learning stuff. I've heard the Andrew Ng course on Coursera is good for ML too but its with MatLab.

I didn't understand first part. Desktop devloper, web app or software ?
I think the 2nd part is related with computer vision, you need to have some good grip on mathematical topics and then learn computer vision, I think that would be enogh for image processing.

I like python very much but I don't think python's use in making great desktop software program is efficient, .net is better for this if it is not command line.
There is a good course on computer vision In Udacity.com
