As a programmer, what should we do to protect our eyes and vision?

@Setiawan: You are not still using a CRT monitor are you?

Ouch. They has them still. I thought they all went away in the late 90's. They are the only ones you need to worry about radiation with. Even then most had shielding built in by the early 90's. As you probably know, LCD screens are low voltage and therefore do not have the power required to spew out any radiation. Not like those really old CRT ones.

I'm using radiation filter glasses here. :) Usually after 4-5 hours of straight coding at home, my eyes already feel heavy and sore; with radiation filter glasses on, I can code long hours without any eye irritations! :D

every 20mins move ur eyes off the screen and blink 10 to 15 times slowly ,this lowers the eye strain

My CRT with radiation filter screen is in my store room for over 10 years now. 😅
