Lol trolls are disliking. i is just the name of the variable that holds the current value. You can change it to what ever you like.

@Mario Yes there are cases where it is confusing and where you would really have to guess. But this one was very obvious.^^

yes, i, python and loops. could be the variable for the iterator. could be a typo... the linked posts tell you how to write good questions. I don't like guessing what someone means by looking at the tags and asking my crystal ball. the community guidelines are there for a reason. others won't know what he means without a sample code snippet or further explanation.

I was always under the impression that i was shorthand for index. For example, when looping through an array we can use i to access the item at the ith index.
