Age matter when learning to code?
A friend of mine said it was a waste to learn coding at my age. That no one would hire me by the time I've learned enough and I would never be able to learn enough to say go into business for myself. To me it doesn't matter doin it for fun anyway but what do you guys have to say about it. p.s. leaving my age off on purpose. so what do you say people a answer and an age limit if any?

there is no age limit for education. we can learn anything at any age, we just need desire for learning.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE IS 😕🗿

Absolutely not. Age is just a number. If at age 45 (imagine)
you still have a desire and passion of coding. You should go for it. You don't need any degree to be coder. You need skills and you can attain it no matter what stage of life you are at. I would suggest you start reading books.

There is no age limit for coding, you can code until you're as old and disabled as Stephen Hawking and still make money.
The only limits you have are the limits you set yourself.

@haris very true my first job in IT was at 9. I was the only one who could read binary and fit up inside of a CNCP. so I would go up inside and read the binary LEDs so they could set the head on the machine.

If they don't hire you😬 then you can hire yourself as long as you have 📚knowledge and 💻resources😉

Not at all. I started at 9. My son started learning about the same age. And my 7yo wants to learn now.

there's no age limit to learn code, but as for suggestion, if you know you'll like to code or have the talent for it, better start early.
i learn to code in my final high school years, and now i'm in college, i wish i could have learned more during the high school days.
and if you're afraid that no one's will hire you, learn from experience, like helping a family growing business with building a software for them ( in my case )
best of luck to everyone :)

I have good mate, who started learning programming at 36. It took him almost a year, when he got great first job as a developer. When you are about 30, then you have about 50 or more years to live! So you aren't even in your half way!

Do you know? There is a kid of 13 Years old who works on Facebook as a Software Engineer?

It's never too late to start learning! That applies to anything, not just coding.
On the other hand the sooner you start learning something the better you'll be at it.

You can learn at any age. I started programming at 11. I'm 40 now, and still learning.
As for job opportunities, yes, you will be at a disadvantage. However, you can counter that to some extent by building a public portfolio. You can make and release apps, share code on Github, and write blog posts about technical topics. This will earn you credibility in the eyes of prospective employers, and they would be more willing to hire you (since you will no longer appear a "risky bet" to them).
Also, you could volunteer time making an app for a non-profit, or work on open-source projects, to gain valuable real-life experience, which can then be leveraged in your job hunt.
All the best, and have lots of fun! Feel free to ask other questions.

No field of work has time limit. If a person sustain its life into existence, it means it has need to gain knowledge to survive properly. So gaining knowledge and its convertibility into profit or some kind of money making never ends. Gaining knowledge and earning money till death... no particular age if you actually want to do something special
