what is a string?

Anything including letters(upper case and lower case) , characters , digits and special symbol kept inside inverted commas(") is something we called string in python. eg- "tao chi" : " 55$633-" "DHDHDJhdh" "#&#&##=?/!," "23€©¥^±×" "teydgGVI253@*&" these all are strings . Basically anything which is kept inside inverted commas are strings. OK

It is simply a bunch of characters. In the sense a character is a letter where as string is a word.
