Python or web development

I'm stuck in between continuing with web development languages like html,css and JavaScript or just go onto learn Python since it's general purpose programming language. Which route is best to take?

If you want to do web development, even with Python, you still need to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you're just wanting to make apps or programs etc then go ahead and learn Python.

it is my opinion, that you go as far as you can with HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, and then go on to angular, node.js, typescript. For all I can see, this skill set will take you real far. Exhaust it. Start finding inadequacies in these tools. Then go to Python.
