Which do you think is the hardest, to code or to come up with a great idea? 😸

Coming up with a great idea is obviously the hardest. Many programmers had the skills to create Facebook back then but only Mark Zuckerberg got the idea.

While being creative within the confines of a language's structure can be nontrivial at times..... Hands down, good overall ideas & design is more important and more challenging.

The trick isn't even coming up with the mind-blowing idea as much as it is refining ideas into something that is both useful and implementable. We all have the "my life would be easier if" thoughts, but taking the time and creating clear requirements... Then there is the question of design. Do you do any? Can you find the right point at which to dive in? Our own perfectionism and/or pessimism often get in our way at that point.

the second one :( best following in others footsteps at first. That way if you get stuck you have a reference on how it is done.

I think getting a good idea is the hardest. Coding can be hard sometimes and really frustrating because of all of those errors that keep come. But it can always be dealt easily with programs like checkamrx or others to detect errors.

To make an idea becomes easy when think and live according to nature. Everything follows nature's rules. Learn the nature first to make big.

I would have to say the idea---you can always figure out the code!! I think it would be REALLY hard to write code for an idea you haven't thought of yet!!

I my view the hardest thing is to come up with great idea......great idea is like that is useful for some one or even for you.....once you come up with great idea you find the way of code also somehow

Coding is based on defined concepts and principles like classes, objects, variables, datatypes etc. But an idea is rather more imaginative than logical, though if well defined can be easily coded. So I reckon that coming up with a great and well defined idea is much harder than coding.

ability and skills to code is harder than idea generation ideas are created by brain, not by you code created by you

Your idea doesn't really have to be entirely unique. Make something that competes with an existing product.
