Is it that necessary to put some functions into brain?

Hello dear php and other language coders? Please I love coding and I'm having some issues with something... I'm having the thought that, is it possible I put some functions in my brain? .. Or I can just go to the documentation or search online whenever I need any..
I think once I know how to use them, I can just search for anyone and use it instead of putting some in brain and having some headaches..

Please friends I need some advice...

If by putting them in your brain, you mean learning them, then yes, it is not an obligation but knowing how they work naturally is enough to be able to redo them by yourself.
If you think you mastered them but can't redo them by yourself, then you are simply mistaken, try to understand them even more

@Not inside a code editor, inside a file (which contain some code) so that when you need that function, you can either include it or copy past it
