question foesnt really make sense to me... but embedded vs web/mobile development... I started programming 2 years ago, a c++ class my sophomore class in college.
I now know about 10 different, fluent, languages.
its not about what you should do, its about what you like to do and if you are even good at it.
start with OOP. learn how object interact with eachother. you do this in one language, java might be "easiest". its also most common I believe.
once you know how/when to use inheritance, polymorphism, aggregation, multithreading, etc. once you understand these concepts with one language, learn another. get familiar with a different syntax.
then I would use this knowlege to try out mobile development. android specifically uses java so it might be easier than doing swift on apple.
if mobile doesnt interest you try out web development. there are tons of bifocals about it.
LOOK into free code camp.
they go over front end, client side, business layer, amd back end development. learn what you want. not what you need. later you will figure out what you are good at. then do that.
hope this helps. if you have any questions as to which languages do what or go together, dont hesitate to ask.
