Of course you can...provided that you actually know what your doing. You want to create a portfolio to show potential employers that you know how to code. Instead of saying that you know how to make apps or web pages SHOW them web pages or apps that you have already created. You can build your own app and then start your own mobile application company. Then you can tell them you have experience at said company. Hope this helps 👍

No, the certificates they offer don't hold any real value in the job market. they are just for personal gratification. what I would suggest is actually getting a certificate in a field that you are good in. you need to study, do the course work and then take the test. they usually cost anywhere from $500 to $5000 for a certification. that will get you hired.
