How do I now gain enough experience to find a job?

I've just finished studing Python 3 and I've noticed companies want experience, can't gain experience without a project and I would like to build up enough experience without leaving my current job . I actually want to give myself a year to gain enough experience to move to the USA .

You can build your own project with publicly open data (analysis+visualization+interactive) or a website project (with one of Python web frameworks) for example. You can then showcase those on github or bitbucket and add it to your resume to show a possible employer what you can do.

If you are a quick study and can muster a thick skin, read, study and understand a project that interests you on git hub or elsewhere. Find an issue or other opening and start sending pull requests after informing the devs of your work and intentions.
