Hi guys, I'm​ in a great dilemma! Between JAVA and PYTHON which one do you suggest and why?

I'm a front end developer and I've been thinking about starting a new and "powerful" language. and the reason that I like these languages is that they are cross platform (as far as I know)

I'm afraid bcz it's a high level language it may be kinda slower than Java! am I write?

Python. Hands down. The library alone dwarves Java.
