In companies on what operating system do they prefer to work? Is it linux or windows?

windows is popular, however Linux used in servers ,mainframes & sup computers than windows

depends on the matter of use, most companies use both. Windows for Clients and AD servers, Linux for database, applicationserver, aso.

as per the globalization, all the systems are tested but most specifically it depends on what project you working on.

As far as I know, it strongly depends on the softwares the company is using and on the IT policy.

yeah, it just depends on what the company does. being proficient in both windows and Linux is a good idea though.

Almost 95 percent companies work on windows. There are very few companies specifically IT companies which work on linux. Companies hire employee who are not proficient in linux but most have used windows. Choosing operating system and software depends on user who is going to use. If it is for non tech guys then surely will go for windows else may choose linux.
