Where would page open if use _blank value for Attribute target of anchor ?

Either in new tab or new window of browser.
some of fellows regarding it same ,but i have myself experienced that ,a lot of advertisement will directly open in new window not in same window with diff.tab even in latest browser.thats why i raised this ques.
