I'm an instrumention and control engineer . I know the basics of Java (by basics I mean just theory and very little coding) . How much knowledge of Java is required before learning Android ??

hey chinmay it depends on what kind of android app you want to make , for simple apps it's enough if you know the basics but when you go to advanced like web apps this Java tutor isn't good enough you should be familiar with http client, json or XML , sockets ,and so many other concepts it looks difficult but it's easy when you get into it !
