In fact you can learn C++ first and then move on to C without wasting your time and energy for some good reasons.
1. C is a subset of C++ so there are lots of common ground between them.
2. C++ make your way smother to reach C because it is a bit easier to Grasp. Although, personally I moved from C to C++ and experienced a lot of surprise.
