I am very new to python and to programming/coding in general, any tips to build good habits and pick things up quicker?

please lend me a hand, I need an arm.

For the most part, slow and deep is better than fast and shallow pace, unless your inside fire to learning things is soo hot and you really hungry to reach you goal. Then your brain power reveal itself and make you a genius programmer.

Dear Rose, Just be passionate about learning what it is that you want to learn and don't make it a monster to yourself dear. If it's hard you just do it hard. Because it's worth it for you.
