It could be a interesting choice, if exists. There is a Ubuntu phone OS, but I don't know if there's a vendor manufacturing it.

Although it's not entirely the same, I am ordering Samsung Dex with my preorder of Samsung Note 8. This will be like running a light desktop powered by my phone.

its possible to run linux on an android since they basically use same type kernel.. but regarding on my opinion of what I think about that? effin awsome..nothing wrong with more functionality

I think the OP is asking about running a Linux desktop or server distribution on a mobile device, which is NOT how the Android distribution is typically used.
