How to make an effective development team?

Its kind of unimportant (not coding related) but I do have questions though. An issue I see in making a good team is gathering people of different disciplines and expertise in one spot. Obviously nobody is interested or even cares in what I am interested in (web + game dev) but what they want. Question is either I make a team or collaborate with others (due to having multiple interests). Since I am not exactly a pro here but I think people can give good opinions on this topic. What do you guys say?

My friends invited to they developers team. They give me alot of work but they don't have any work. They told me if we get profit they will got each person 40%. and they give me 20% of profit. this is THE WORST TEAM😫😫 in my life. (I am primary student now.) #update Effective team in my thinking is better than the above team.

It's about motivation and goal congruence between the team members. Their individual goals should be in alignment with the team goals - accomplishments. Set milestones that are achieveable and work towards it. Slowly go for higher milestones and level up. Start small, make it large. Make your efforts count😊😊😊

@Apoorva yeah but people tend be like lol not interested anymore or too lazy or efficient in start and lazy bums with 0 interests unless you make your own clones and set them for a spefic task 😂finding a good team is painful work

for an effective team, everyone need not be skilled, but everyone has to be creative. i have come across many teams, and even became a member of one. but what i saw as a weakness was lack of effectiveness in division of labour. team work is essential if you want to be a large scale developer, but getting the team effective means everyone has to be productive in his domain. collaborating with others it's quit systematic because your forced to implement the rules they lay and meet up with their standards which at some point might discourage you. my advice is for you to take time and gather a team of hardworking and committed individuals who even not very skilled are willing to upgrade and have a wild sense of creativity.

@nikky first effective dev team where team members perform their tasks without hassle and as team get the job done efficiently. (not like how nithiwat said, load of work but no benefit. point is work should be divided accordingly) Since I have nothing better to do so I am planning on starting a small team of developers. That goes without saying it wont be easy considering my focus isnt just 1 but 2 different fields (game + web dev). Question arises either I convince dont know who to join me for adventure or should I collaborate with random dev teams.

@Daniel cant agree more to what you said. Though I am sure people who share same ideals and are committed to their work and are willing to go the long way are lurking somewhere in the corners but they are also looking for same thing we do. Hope you do great in your work and all the best and thanks for answering 👍
