How long will it take to master major programming languages if I spend at least 1 to 2 hours a day learning programming?

Need not be specific, an rough estimate would do.

1-2 hours a day really isn't that much time, to be honest. :D Honestly, it depends upon a lot of factors, such as what you're doing, how much you're doing it, and are you trying to learn more about the language? It's easy to get over a hill, fill confident in your programming, and then forget that you're suppose to keep learning. So you have people that program a lot, but they never master it because they never tried to further their mastery once they got to a "good enough" point. The few languages that I currently deal with on a daily basis I've been doing for a few years. I'd certainly consider myself an expert at them, but I'd say I'm still years off from mastering them, as I typically focus on the types of tasks I work with.

@Chris Agreed. Consistent progress daily is certainly a lot better than doing it one day and then taking a break for months or years. lol

1-2 hours is good in my opinion that's what I usually do, and on the weekends I code for much longer like around 3-4 hours. 1-2 hours is certainly better than not practicing at all
